“Welcome to the Spring 2013 issue of our quarterly newsletter, filled with all the news that will help you keep your skin healthy and beautiful on an ongoing basis. I just posted an amusing anecdote about why you should avoid applying lotion before going through airport security.”

It can make the fastest change for the better. The mildest procedure is microdermabrasion, where a precise stream of very fine crystals is directed onto the skin, loosening the layer of dead skin cells that forms on the surface, and revealing fresh invigorated skin. Chemical peels or IPL (intense pulsed light) treatments are stronger, while a laser, like the Fraxel Dual, can erase fine lines and discolorations and smooth deeper wrinkles. I would be glad to discuss the options that would be best for your skin needs.
Sticking to a daily plan with products suited to your complexion type is probably the best step you can take for a lifetime of great skin. The basics generally include a cleanser, an antioxidant and a retinol formulation. I also recommend an exfoliant twice weekly. Again, I can suggest the specific products for your skin.
The judicious use of Botox and fillers, like Juvederm, Radiesse, Sculptra and Belotero, used correctly and/or in concert, which I would be delighted to explain during a personal consultation, can help stave off aging and keep your face looking more youthful and natural.
Spider veins on your legs can be easily eradicated with sclerotherapy, where a solution, called a sclerosing agent, is injected into the veins, irritating the lining of the blood vessel walls so the vessels seal off and gradually fade. Freckles and brown spots on your arms and legs can be erased with Fraxel, while body hair can also be eliminated with laser treatments.
